London Farmers' Markets
We grow it, we sell it, we bake it; everything from raw milk and dry cured rare breed bacon to raised pies and pizzas with ingredients from local farms.
Our first market opened in Islington in June 1999.
London Farmers' Markets organise twenty weekly farmers markets across London.
Our markets offer direct contact with the farmers, fishermen, growers and bakers.
Visitors can buy fresh fruit, vegetables and salads, cheese and dairy products, beef, lamb and pork, fish, eggs, poultry and game, bread and cakes, honey and perserves, garden plants and cut flowers, drinks and cooked local foods.
Every week, car parks, school playgrounds and town squares blossom into communities where you can meet your neighbours, swap recipes and fill your shopping baskets.
We manage every aspect of the markets from their conception to the daily running. We are very hands on, often at markets helping out. Our producers come from within 100 miles of the M25. They must raise, grow or bake everything they sell. We allow no middlemen at our markets, and have very strict rules about attendance.
All of our markets are Certified by FRA (Farm Retail Association). Our strict rules and high standards guarantee that Londoners and visitors are buying food from the farm and not a wholesaler.
Many farmers have cut out the middlemen and no longer sell to supermarkets. On top of this, many farmers have established links with restaurants and other food outlets in London, selling to them directly.
The Markets
Rain or shine, 51 weeks of the year, we’re here. Shop weekly, meet your friends and neighbours. Bring your kids. Sample something new, shop with the seasons. Bring your own bags and containers.
Please check in advance for opening days and times for the various markets.
